Sixers Win! Sixers Win!

Yawn. Basket Ball preseason is so damn boring! No Reggie Evans? Man.

Hockey is here and Play Off Baseball? Oh, and that Eagles team is playing again.

Bring on the cream puffs!

Drunken Rant

by rob on Oct.06, 2009, under Flyers, Phillies

drunk-31

I’ve had a couple glasses of the vino this evening…chatting it up on the Facebooks, twattering my tweeples and whatnot and more importantly watching my first hockey game of the season. Richards with the hat trick…so badass. I figured I’d throw some run-on sentences up on the ol blog and rant and rave for a bit.

First of all……….TWO FUCKING THIRTY!?

Seriously?!?!? 2:30. We watch every friggin game this whole damned season and we’re relegated to a mid-day game on a wednesday (followed by one on Thursday)? Thanks MLB for repaying the fans of the world phucking champs by making half of us miss these games. We’ve bought the t-shirts, sold out our stadiums a record number of times (3 million something people), and this is how we’re repaid? YOU SUCK MLB.

Second of all…I’ve lost my focus and need another glass of wine.

Orange on Black Violence.

Apparently a bunch of dudes in a bus on the way back from the Devils game last Saturday thought it would be a good idea to stab one another? From the700level.com and sportressofblogitude.com:

“When we got back to the The Arena bowling alley in the Northeast, there were cop cars everywhere and a big brawl taking place. These were all Flyers fans fighting. I don’t know why. I guess drinking all day had something to do with it? Anyway, some guy comes walking by with his buddy screaming, “Call an ambulance!” He had been stabbed and his intestines were literally hanging out! There was blood everywhere. We were just a little freaked out and didn’t want to be stabbed so we left.”

Hey douche nozzles. Thanks for perpetuating the stereotype. First the beatdown at the bank, now this. What a bunch of morons. If you’re gonna stab something, make it your sack, so you can’t poison the gene pool with your awful DNA.

The Whip

by Moulder on Oct.02, 2009, under Flyers

Normally this is where B. Wallace would comment on the start of the Flyers season about how stoked he is and how well they are going to do.
Well, he’s not here, so I am! I think I am more stoked on this season than I have been in a long while.
This year, the Flyers have a solid defense, faster offense, and a goalie with something to prove.
I like the odds. Alex is still the man but Ray, he’s got a chip on his shoulder. And I like a crazy goalie with a chip on his shoulder.

Stoked.

So ladies and gentleman. I know I’ve been talking about it for months. Hell, I’ve been talking about it since day one of this blog. Two years ago? But the day has finally arrived. We have t-shirts. Check em out above and check em out at our newly opened webstore CLICK HERE DAMNIT.

I’ve been meaning to post about the Phils (Go Happ! Glad you’re still with us buddy) and even a little Eagles action (when did Andy Reid turn into such a cry baby?) but obviously have been busy geeking out with the store and re-skinning of the blog. I hope you like the new look of the site and I hope you buy a shirt (my wife hopes so too since I dipped into our savings to get em printed…whoops).

Okay, it’s late and I need to crash. More shirts and a t-shirt design contest coming soon!

The Orange and Balck (and blue)

lappy!

Homer decided that last year not only was the Defense lacking a bit, but the leadership left something to be desired. He’s addressed that 10 fold.

Welcome Ian Laperriere!

Dirty Black Summer

Boy oh boy have the Flyers really found a way to split it’s fan base right down the middle.  As we speak, arguments are raging all across the region about the acquisition of former Whaler, cup champion, future hall of fame, 6-6, 214lb monster Chris “Born to be a Flyer” Pronger.  I feel that everyone is happy he is here, but at what cost?

I’ve Lost

by Moulder on May.26, 2009, under Flyers

Today, I lost a childhood hero. Peter Zezel died from a rare blood disorder. The man was only 44. That’s not much older than I am which makes it hit home that harder.  Read the story here

I remember as a kid watching him as tear around the ice and making other teams hate him for being so damn young and handsome. Well, maybe that second part isn’t true.

But I digress. The past few years Zezel had operated hockey camps for kids in Canada. As a kid a lot of my peers like Robert Earl, I love Peter Zezel and the Rat.

Writing these… This sucks.

Peter Zezel in Youngblood. Hes the younger dude
